On advice of the FBI, Seattle cartoonist Molly Norris has
changed her identity and gone into hiding. Norris was the cartoonist placed on a fatwa by Islamists after
proposing an Everybody Draw Mohammed Day, in protest against attempts to kill Danish cartoonists who did that, and produced a drawing of random household objects claiming to be the Islamic prophet. Under Islamic law, it is blasphemy
for Muslims to draw Mohammed, on the grounds that that encourages idolatry. Norris is not known to be a Muslim.
